Oh, the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss
I picked up this Dr. Seuss book to soothe my inner child! A new year means new beginnings, and that can be intimidating. Oh The Places You'll Go is a sweet and funny reminder of the inner strength that we all possess. When I read it, I feel as if a parent is speaking to me gently, kindly. This book means a lot to me, as I'm sure it does to many people.

Lore Olympus Vol. 1 by Rachel Smythe
This book is all about Greek gods being humanized but in modern way. Imagine how these gods and goddesses would act if they ran into scandalous gossips as well as fell in love like normal people. And the fact that this is a webtoon-original adapted into into books make it more interesting!

Out of Office by Charlie Warzel & Anne Helen Petersen
For many of us, 2023 will be our fourth year of remote or hybrid work. Some thrived when they were working from home, others found themselves having no boundaries between work and life. I picked up this title to better understand the challenges and the opportunities of flexible work arrangements so I can have a healthier, more balanced life this 2023. - Ilia, Marketing
I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
I've been planning on reading this since last year because Jeanette's character on iCarly is someone i grew up with, and i was interested to know her life behind the scenes. This book made me realize that actors/actresses are still human beings, and that even if you have something everybody wants, does not guarantee happiness for you. - Myks, E-commerce
On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous by Ocean Vuong
Ocean Vuong writes of inspiration from each and every one of us on listening, healing, surviving and finding joy. Finally picking up a bookworm favourite as my first read of the year hoping to find a bit of a restart to what has happened in the past and what lies ahead. - Addie, Creatives
Atalanta by Jennifer Saint
If you know mythology, then you probably know Jason and the Argonauts — the mightiest heroes on the Quest for the Golden Fleece. One of them was one such woman under the protection of Artemis. Her name is Atalanta and while she is much less known, Jennifer Saint delivers a retelling of her own hero's journey. - Anna, Digital Marketing
New Teeth by Simon Rich
Discovered Simon Rich because of my love for the humor of the show Miracle Workers, which he created. His collection of stories Spoiled Brats which is mostly about spoiled rich kids gave me a good laugh, and so I picked up his latest collection of stories New Teeth to see what (ridiculous) stories he could tell about raising babies. - Karla, Partnerships and Events

Poet Ocean Vuong’s debut novel is a shattering portrait of a family, a first love, and the redemptive power of storytelling
With stunning urgency and grace, Ocean Vuong writes of people caught between disparate worlds, and asks how we heal and rescue one another without forsaking who we are. The question of how to survive, and how to make of it a kind of joy, powers the most important debut novel of many years.

A future-looking, game-changing book from two leading culture reporters about the radical and transformational potential of working from home.
If you think you’ve been working from home during the pandemic, Charlie Warzel and Anne Helen Petersen are here to tell you otherwise. What we’ve been doing is something else entirely, a jury-rigged compromise made under the duress of a national crisis that’s satisfactory for neither the worker nor the employer. For Warzel and Petersen, the past year has revealed that there may be another path forward for work, one that doesn’t involve hellish daily commutes and the demands of jam-packed work schedules that no longer make sense. As a society, we have talked for decades about flexible work arrangements. In this book, the authors make clear that we are at an inflection point where this becomes possible for many companies and their employees.

Learn MoreJennette McCurdy
A heartbreaking and hilarious memoir by iCarly and Sam & Cat star Jennette McCurdy about her struggles as a former child actor—including eating disorders, addiction, and a complicated relationship with her overbearing mother—and how she retook control of her life.
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction,” eating little and weighing herself five times a day. She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income.
