Catch John Green as he talks about his latest book The Anthropocene Reviewed, which was based on a podcast, in Fully Booked Chats: John Green which is bound to happen on August 13, 6pm.
Filipino fans will get the chance to hear and interact with the best-selling author for the first time as the event will be streamed via the Fully Booked Facebook page and is free for all.
The event will be hosted by actress, musician, and podcaster Saab Magalona, who is also one of the first to start a local podcast with her husband Jim Bacarro called Wake Up with Jim and Saab in 2018.
The Anthropocene refers to the current geologic age, in which humans have profoundly reshaped the planet and its biodiversity. In this remarkable symphony of essays adapted and expanded from his groundbreaking podcast, bestselling author John Green reviews different facets of the human-centered planet and gives a rating on a five-star scale—from the QWERTY keyboard and sunsets to Canada geese and Penguins of Madagascar.
Even as he departs from his usual genre of fiction, Green’s gift for storytelling shines throughout this masterful collection. The Anthropocene Reviewed is an open-hearted exploration of the paths we forge and an unironic celebration of falling in love with the world.
Among Green’s fiction works are: The Fault in Our Stars and Turtles All the Way Down. Being widely-known in the Philippines, some of Green’s titles are even translated in Filipino.
Green, with his brother Hank, also started a Youtube channel called the Vlogbrothers in 2007 and now has more than three million subscribers.
Signed hardbound copies of The Anthropocene Reviewed and other Green titles are available on Fully Booked Online and are eligible for free shipping nationwide.
