The twilight saga is a series of books that talk about the love between a human girl and a vampire. Twilight (the 1st book) describes how Bella, a 17 year old girl moves to Forks, Washington. “It was too green, an alien planet.” There she makes new friends, have her classes just like any other regular teen. Until she saw the Cullens. “It was there, sitting in the lunch room, trying to make conversation with seven curious strangers that I first saw them.” She describes them as pale, chalky pale, and also inhumanly beautiful. The Cullens are actually vampires who gave up feeding on humans and focused on animals instead. Edward Cullen, a 107 year old vampire ends up as Bella’s lab partner in Biology. Bella couldn’t get why he hated her so easily. Actually it was because of Bella’s blood, her “scent” was “mouth-watering” for Edward.

During Edward’s sudden disappearance (having run away to Alaska), Bella has an easier time in Forks High School. But when Edward returns, he tries to do better by becoming friends with Bella. But that friendship ends when Edward uses his super speed and super strength by stopping a van from crushing Bella. After nearly 2 months of silence from either of them, Bella finds out that him and his family are vampires. And when Edward saves her from some men, they both realize that they are in love with each other. When Edward takes Bella to his meadow, he demonstrates to Bella why he couldn’t step out in the sunlight. When Bella meets the Cullens, and wathces a Cullen family baseball game, a group of nomadic vampires meet them. James the sadistic leader of that clan sets his eyes on Bella and he begins to attack her. When Bella was hidden in Phoenix, James faked kidnapping Bella’s mom and tortures Bella while Edward races to save her.

This book is really worth reading because it talks about the love between Bella and Edward. It is very suspenseful and thrilling and that is what I like to find in books. New Moon and Eclipse are the same. Twilight is going to be turned into a movie which will premier in December.
