At a loss for words? Having difficulty turning those ideas into the written word? Then come to the WRITE place on January 24 and February 21 at Fully Booked Alabang Town Center. The Young Writers' Saturday Hangout offers individual, hands-on writing sessions specifically designed to cater to your child’s writing needs. Whether it be for fiction, poetry, essays or any other writing style or genre, we aim to nurture your child’s talents and writing skills through guided and timed writing sessions, feedback from writing mentors in a supportive, positive and non threatening environment and learning from the works of other writing buddies as well as beloved books and authors, and the freedom and space to allow the writer in your child to sprout wings and flourish.
For adults ages 18 and above: In answer to requests, we are starting classes for adults on nonfiction /memoir writing on Jan. 31, Feb. 22, March 14, 1pm-5pm at Fully Booked, BGC (Forum, 4th floor). The four-hour sessions will allow the participants to draw from their personal histories to write the stories of their lives. Actual writing and critiquing will be emphasized over mere lectures. Facilitators are published writers Susan Quimpo, Babeth Lolarga and Mariel Francisco.
Join us this first quarter at the Revisiting Required Literature Book Club as we pour out some tea and fierce opinions. The theme running across our January to April sessions is Ladies' Night; hence, books with women authors and/or prominent women characters.
Mr. and Mrs. Brown first met Paddington on a railway platform. In fact, that was how he came to have such an unusual name for a bear, because Paddington was the name of the station.
You can hear the rest of the story during Story Time with Paddintgton at Fully Booked as we partner up with Captive Media. We will open up Michael Bond's beloved Paddington to get to know how this little bear found his way to the Brown residence.
